Clear aligners are a series of thin plastic trays, each moving your teeth a small step. Asian-brand aligners start from 45,000,000 VND for the whole treatment and Invisalign costs more, final after the exam and scan. Aligners do not suit every case; the dentist decides after scanning your teeth.

What happens in the chair
- Exam and consultation45-minute examThe dentist checks your teeth and bite, asks about your daily routine, then tells you whether aligners can work for your case or whether brackets fit better.
- X-rays and scanX-rays, photos, and a scan or impressions of both arches. These are used to plan the number of trays and preview how the teeth are expected to move.
- Plan and tray countThe dentist explains the plan, the expected number of trays, whether attachments (small composite bumps on teeth) or screws are needed, and what is and is not included.
- First traysAttachments are bonded if needed, and you learn to put in, remove and clean the trays. Each new tray can make teeth feel tight or tender for a day or two.
- Reviews and tray changesYou change trays on the schedule the dentist gives and come for reviews so they can check progress against the plan. Reviews are included.
- Finish and retainersAfter the last tray, attachments are removed and you receive one set of retainers to hold teeth in their new position.
Who it suits, and who should not choose it
Aligners suit adults who want an appliance that is hard to see, that comes out for eating and brushing, and who will keep it in for the hours required each day. Aligners are not right for every case. Some complex bites, heavily rotated teeth or large movements can be hard to achieve with trays. What affects the price
Asian-brand aligners start from 45,000,000 VND for the whole treatment on the price list of 4 October 2026, final after the exam. The final figure depends on the brand, the expected number of trays and how complex your case is. Invisalign has its own starting price, shown in the table above.
What is not included
Extractions, extra trays beyond the original plan, and replacing lost or broken retainers are not part of the whole-treatment price. When you start, the clinic takes a deposit of 20% of the quote, at most 5,000,000 VND, credited to the bill. How long it takes, and how many visits
The first visit is a 45-minute exam and consultation. Then come a scan visit, a visit to receive your first trays, and reviews as scheduled. Total time differs from person to person; the dentist estimates it after the scan and writes it into the plan. You can book a consultation with Dr Tùng.

Questions about this service
How many hours a day do I wear them?
Aligners only work while they are on your teeth, so you take them out to eat and brush and put them straight back. The dentist sets the daily hours according to the aligner maker's instructions and writes them into your plan.
How many trays will I need?
It depends on the case. One published reference (Medpro, 8 June 2026) gives 14 to 20 trays for mild cases and 40 to 50 for complex ones. Your own number is estimated after the scan.
Who should not choose aligners?
People who find it hard to wear them for the required hours, and some complex bites that the dentist judges hard to treat with trays. In that case the dentist explains why and suggests brackets.
