What Dr Tùng does

Dr Võ Thanh Tùng holds the title ThS.BS (a medical doctor with a master’s degree). He handles orthodontics: metal brackets, ceramic brackets and clear aligners. He has 14 years in practice and practising licence no. 000063/HCM-GPHN (fictional). He sees students and working adults who want braces but have questions about cost, time and how visible the appliance will be.

A consultation with Dr Tùng

The first visit takes 45 minutes. He examines your teeth and bite and asks what you want to change, your budget and your working week. He tells you plainly if your case is hard to treat with aligners, or if decay or gum problems need treating before braces.

Once X-rays and impressions are done, he draws the plan on paper: how the teeth are expected to move, whether extractions or screws are needed, the estimated time, and what the whole-treatment price includes and leaves out. You keep a copy. The treatment time is an estimate, updated if your teeth move differently, and he does not promise a figure before examining you.

At review visits he warns you that teeth may feel tight or tender for a day or two after an adjustment. If you travel often, or may leave Vietnam during treatment, raise it at the first visit so the plan and review schedule can take it into account.

Days and languages

Dr Tùng works Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, within clinic hours: weekdays 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:00, Saturday 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. He consults in Vietnamese and can explain in English (fictional).
