What Dr Khôi does

Dr Đoàn Minh Khôi holds the title BS.CKII (specialist level II, a postgraduate clinical qualification in Vietnam). He handles restorations and implants and is the clinic’s professionally responsible person, the dentist accountable for its clinical standards. He has 18 years in practice and practising licence no. 000041/HCM-GPHN (fictional). You would see him if you have lost a tooth, have a badly broken tooth after a root canal, or want to know whether a wisdom tooth should come out.

His services: dental implants, crowns, wisdom tooth removal and general check-ups.

A visit with Dr Khôi

The first visit is an exam and consultation. He asks how you chew, what conditions you are being treated for and which medicines you take. When needed, he takes a Cone Beam CT (a 3D image of the jawbone) himself, then sits beside you at the screen to show where the bone is sufficient, where it is thin, and where the nerve runs.

He then sets out the possible approaches, including options without an implant such as a bridge or a removable denture, and explains why he leans towards one. The quote is printed and split into items: post, abutment, crown, bone graft if needed, scans and medicines. It stays valid for 30 days, so you have time to think and, if you wish, to get a second opinion.

During treatment you get a local anaesthetic; he asks how you feel and stops when you ask. After each visit you receive written aftercare and the clinic’s number to call in opening hours.

Days and languages

Dr Khôi works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, within clinic hours: weekdays 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:00, Saturday 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. He consults in Vietnamese and can explain in English (fictional), which helps if you want to understand a CT scan or a quote in detail.

He writes the articles on implant cost, implant brands, bone grafts and crown materials, starting with dental implant cost in Ho Chi Minh City.

You can book with Dr Khôi; the calendar shows only the days he works. The clinic phones to confirm within 2 working hours.
